Do you take time out to give your pet attention or just brush it aside with annoyance? And do you feel guilty afterwards for ignoring your pet?
I have three cats, and and any one of them could suddenly 'need' my attention. I give them a couple minutes attention, then gently shoo them out of the room.
they get plenty of attention from me throughout the day. It is just frustrating when I am busy--THEY don't think what I am doing is all that important--makes me rearrange my priorities on a regular basis.
I don't feel guilty about what attention I do or do not give my cats, and would not even THINK of giving any one of them away--would you give away any of your children just because they demanded attention at an inopportune time? All I asked was what do you do in this situation--a general question to see how others interacted with their pets. GEEZ take a question for what it SAYS, not what you want it to mean.

Best answer:

Answer by nikaseven23
when I first got my puppy she bugged me constantly to play and I was trying to study! I took her on walks but she wanted my attn 24/7. after a while, I realized I had to get her a friend, so I adopted a 2nd rescue dog and now they occupy each other and i can study without feeling guilty. I suggest you get another pet. I will never go back to just having one. good luck.

Hi. We just sold our house and are moving to a rental townhome. Had the carpets professionally cleaned, but there is still a smell of pet odor in one of the bedroom closets which appears to be where the previous tenants kept not only the dog food, but the litter box as well. Any recommendations on some additional action that can be taken to reduce the slight stinch still left behind? Air puifier? Thanks

Best answer:

Answer by Tigger
An air purifier might help- But removing the effected section of carpet and padding would probably be better: It sounds like the pet problem soaked all the way through.

Good luck!

Everytime I see monkeys, I think that would make for a great pet. How do you get one? Can I get any kind of monkey I want or are you only able to have certain types of monkeys as pets?

Best answer:

Answer by Goat
Legality it terms of having monkeys as pets depends on where you live and what species the monkey is. Pennsylvania has really strict exotic pet laws. There, the residents aren't even allowed to have Hedgehogs, let alone monkeys! I also heard they were trying to make Ferrets illegal... not sure what came of that, if anything.

In Nevada, at least the part where I am now (laws on exotic pets vary by state, county, or even city), exotic pet laws are barely there. You can get just about anything that's not endangered.

Pet monkeys aren't really good pets though. I suggest you do a LOT of research before deciding to get one as a pet. Start off with whether it's legal where you live: http://www.wildanimalworld.com/gpage7.html
