Why is it illegal to have pet tarantulas in Toronto?

I remember reading somewhere that it's illegal to have pet tarantulas in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. But why?

it might be, im not shure why it would be, its just a spider that you could easily squash.

How do you add a pet to your current family on Sims 3 Pets?

I've been looking all over for an answer and I can't figure it out. I just want to buy one, but the only option is to make a new family with a pet. I read that you can add a pet to your current family, but I can't figure out how. Please help! Thanks in advance!

I would like the answer to this one too!

However, in the meantime, I have my family purchase or adopt a pet and then edit them in Create-A-Sim. How to do this:

Press: Ctrl+Shift+C
Type in: testingcheatsenabled true
Press "Shift" and Click on the animal you have adopted and would like to edit.
Select: Edit in Create a Sim

This will take you to the Create-A-Sim where you can change every feature about your animal from their age and body shape to their colouring and Personality Traits.

How can I keep a cat in a non pet friendly apartment?

I have limited time to move into an apartment for college and one of my last options is an apartment that doesn't allow pets. The fee for them finding a pet in the apartment is $ 3,500. Would there be any way to keep them from finding out or would they eventually find out? Thanks!

I'm 14 years old and i badly want a pet, but my moms alergic to cats and we dont have time for a dog. Does any body have any ideas of which pets i could have that are intersting.
Also, are their any types of dogs that dont need walking
Also, can you teach them to do their buisness in one spot?
If so, how?

no all dogs need walking but u could get a cool fighting fish or a guinea pig or a hamster.

What kind of sand is the healthiest and safest for my pet bearded dragon?

I'm thinking of switching my pet bearded dragon's cage from carpet to sand. I have heard many things about different kinds of sand, but I'm not sure which one is right. My pet bearded dragon is about 10 and 3/4ths inches long.

You can use the corporate-made Repti-Sand or Calci-Sand. Their labels claim that the sand is 100% digestible, which removes the cause of impaction. However, there have been reports of reptiles becoming impacted with 100% digestible, corporate-made sand. The downside of Repti-Sand or Calci-Sand is these types of sand are expensive, especially if you are going to use them for the large enclosures that bearded dragons need. Another type of sand I would advise against is silica sand. Basically, silica sand is the same thing as broken glass. After all, sand can be made into glass. Would you want your bearded dragon to ingest broken glass? Perhaps, the most economical sand is play sand. Play sand can be bought in large 50 lb. bags that cost no more than $ 6-9 dollars. This is also economical because you can buy a few large bags for your bearded dragon enclosure, and still pay less than using corporate made digestible sand. With play sand, there is always the possibility for impaction, especially in young bearded dragons, so it is best to keep younger bearded dragons on paper.

Is there a way to remove pet odor from floorboards without replacing?

After tearing up the old carpet and padding I've noticed the pet stains are on my floorboards. Is there anything that can clean the odor or that I can paint or seal over so they don't have to be replaced?

Use an enzyme cleaner. Pet stores sell products like this. Odor-cide is one that I have used.

What is the cheapest kind of pet insurance?

I'm looking for some pet insurance that will cover things like kennel cough. I have 3 dogs and 2 have been exposed to it once already and may be exposed to it again because we adopted another puppy from the shelter. We already lost one puppy from it so we are looking for some insurance we can afford.

I have been considering getting animal health insurance for my dogs and I've looked at AKC health insurance and I've looked at Purina's. I can't honestly see any benefit in getting health insurance for my dogs. It looks like it runs $ 50 a month per dog. I have two dogs. That's $ 1200 a year. What I've seen is extremely low limits on AKCs insurance and high deductiables on Purina's. It's a rip off in my opinion. But some of the companies that provide it are PetCare, Embrace, Pets Best, AKC and Purina.

Spend a lot of time visiting your local PetCo and big-box pet stores. Learn what products they sell and how much they sell them for.

Talk to pet owners and find out what they want/like in your area. It's especially good to ask pet owners who are walking out of these big-box stores what they weren't able to find inside.

If you offer pet food (dog food & cat food) that is all-natural, or has a better quality of brand, you'll probably find a niche. Just don't try to be better than the big-box stores regarding price -- go for quality.

I buy my dog food from a small store because the dog food is better for my dog. It costs a little bit more, but that's what pet owners do: they'll spend a little more to get a better quality product.

Also have pet toys and other things that can easily be purchased (pet toys have a HUGE markup, but everyone buys toys for their pets!)
